Winter is also one of the best times to see Bald Eagles, though they are here year round.

Bald Eagles take five years to reach full breeding maturity, with the characteristic white head and tail. Younger birds are darker and are sometimes confused with Golden Eagles. Bald Eagles have a wingspan of 6' 6"/2 metres, looking like planks in the sky.
