Arrowleaf Balsamroot, the 'Okanagan sunflower', blooms in Kalamoir Park, West Kelowna
Spring in the Okanagan Valley is glorious. The dry hillsides are strewn with bright yellow clusters of Arrowleaf Balsamroot, while Saskatoon bushes froth with white blossoms. Mountain lady slippers peek from moist patches in the woods and Swallowtail butterflies feed on blooms.. Western Painted Turtles bask like lumps on a log. Paddleboats and Kayaks are readied for summer fun.
